Robert A. Mines, Ph.D., is the CEO of Mines and Associates (MINES). MINES is a national business psychology firm with two divisions: Organizational Psychology and Health Psychology. The firm offers organizational psychology services, training, employee assistance programs (EAP), managed mental health care, wellness programs, disease management, PPO services and a number of technology based services. It has been profitable and had continuous growth for 26 years. In addition to his business and professional experience, Dr. Mines was an associate professor of Counseling Psychology at the University of Denver for 13 years, where he taught a variety of graduate level classes including group processes, counseling skills, assessment, practicum and internship supervision.
Dr. Mines has published professional articles and presented at international and national meetings on topics such as organizational change and break through projects, succession planning, positive psychology and business performance, strategic alliances, marketing of professional firms, work stress, impairment at work, ethical issues, substance abuse and eating disorder treatment, health and wellness, intellectual development, emotional intelligence and law firms, emotional intelligence and leadership and numerous other topics.
Dr. Mines is a licensed psychologist in the state of Colorado. He is a past president of the Colorado chapter of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association, was on the international board of directors, was the recipient of the 2004 International Employee Assistance Professional Association's Member of the Year Award and was the recipient of the1992 Daetwiler Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to the EAP field. He is a member of the American Psychological Association and an individual member of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association.

Richard T. Lindsey, Ph.D.

Dr. Lindsey is a licensed psychologist in the state of Colorado, has been listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, is a past president of the Eating Disorders Professionals of Colorado and was the 1999 recipient of the Daetwiler Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to the field of Employee Assistance.
He joined MINES in 1986 and has served in a variety of roles throughout his tenure with the firm. Dr. Lindsey received his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver in 1986. He also holds a Master's of Divinity degree from the University of St. Michael's College, and has worked extensively within religious settings.
Dr. Lindsey oversees and manages MINES information technology, utilization review, quality assurance, clinical case review, program delivery and the development of cost effective delivery models. He has worked with impaired professionals, retrospective incest victims, clients coping with issues of grief and loss, developmental transitional concerns, eating disorders, and depression.
He has worked in a variety of settings including church, school, mental health and university counseling centers with clients from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Dr. Lindsey has served on the Board for St. Patrick's Pastoral Counseling Center and the State Board of Pharmacy Rehabilitation and Evaluation Committee and provides supervision for Peer Assistance services, an organization responsible for service delivery to pharmacists, dentists and veterinarians.
He has presented papers at national conferences in the areas of death and dying/grief and loss, ethics, emotional intelligence and the group treatment of eating disorders. In addition, he has published articles in ethics, eating disorders and managed mental healthcare. His research interests have been in alcohol use on college campuses and on applied ethics in psychology.
He continues to focus his professional attention on the development of delivery systems that optimally combine the best human and technological practices toward the alleviation of pain and suffering. He is currently a member of the American Psychological Association and the Employee Assistance Professionals Association.

Judith G. Braun, CEAP
Vice-President of Organizational Services

Judith Braun is certified employee assistance professional and the Vice President of Organizational Services for MINES.
She joined the organization in 1986 functioning in different capacities through the years. Ms. Braun is in charge of
organizational contract services, contract retention, account management staff and contract administration. Judith
completed a term in 2004 on the Board of Directors for the International Employee Assistance Professionals
Association. In 1996, she received the Daetwiler Award for distinguished service in the field of EAP. She
previously served a two-year term (1998-2000) as the Western Region Director for EAPA, and is a past
president of the Colorado Chapter of the Employee Assistance Professionals.
Previous to joining MINES,
Ms. Braun was an educator in the Pennsylvania school systems. She is a member of the Colorado Human
Resources Association, the Colorado Public Personnel Association, sits on the board of the Colorado
Drug Free Workplace Coalition and is a member of the Colorado Mental Health & Substance Abuse Summit.

Marcia Kent, MS

Ms. Kent currently serves as the Vice President of the Organizational Psychology Division of Mines and
Associates (MINES). She has received outstanding reviews as a senior trainer and organizational
psychology specialist at MINES. She has been described as results-oriented, motivated and passionate
about her work as an organizational psychology specialist and is in high demand for her services. Her
diverse business experience includes work as an executive coach, business consultant, corporate trainer,
and organizational development specialist for over eighty client companies.
Ms. Kent has facilitated numerous workshops, leadership development programs, executive retreats, team
buildings, culture change projects, conflict mediation and mentoring programs. The scope of her work has
allowed her to intervene at every level, from front line employees to executives. She has a unique ability to
appreciate and understand both the needs of individuals and the desired business results of the organization.
She is skilled and adept at developing innovative interventions that enhance work performance.
In the course of her career, Ms. Kent has facilitated trainings for over 10,000 people on such topics as work
stress, communication, effective conflict management, fundamentals of teams, personality types and learning
styles and creative problem solving. She has presented papers at the International Employee Assistance
Professional Association conference on cultural diversity in the workplace, positive psychology, breakthrough
projects, mentoring programs and effective communication. Ms. Kent has also published and done research on
topics such as succession planning and self directed teams.
Ms. Kent has implemented in-depth mentoring and leadership development programs for the City of Arvada,
The Rocky Mountain Region Council of Carpenters and Women in Cable and Telecommunications. Ms. Kent
also served as the Chair and Co-chair for the Colorado Human Resource Association's Professional Organizational
Development Group for five years.
Ms. Kent has contributed to the community through volunteer and fund raising projects to support the
Dianna Price Fish Foundation for adults with cancer, the "Courage Classic" to raise money for Children's Hospital,
the "Flat Tire Classic" to aid the American Red Cross, The 3 Day Breast Cancer walk and "Race for the Cure" to raise
money for breast cancer research and "Bark in the Park" to raise money for various animal shelters.
Ms. Kent is a world traveler and has visited 6 continents, traveled to over 42 countries and extensively toured the United
States. In addition to travel, Ms. Kent is an avid skier, cyclist and hiker and has climbed mountains in Africa and India
just over 19,335 feet and 21,000 feet respectively.
Ms. Kent earned a Master's of Science degree in business management from Regis University and received her
Bachelors of Art's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Michael Mines,
Business Development

Mike Mines has been with MINES and Associates since 2001. Mr. Mines has worked in several areas of the firm, from operations staff to provider relations and accounting. Mr. Mines currently works in the business development and finance departments.
Mr. Mines also has extensive experience in real estate financing and asset management. His publications include articles on the commoditization of Employee Assistance Programs and emotional intelligence. In his free time, Mike enjoys fishing, hiking and snowboarding.
